What is the new name for the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas?

The Hotel at Mandalay Bay, the shimmering gold 43-story tower that dominates the south end of the Strip, will get a new name and a new interior next year. MGM Resorts International announced a partnership Monday with the Morgans Hotel Group to launch Delano Las Vegas at Mandalay Bay.

As of 2026, the main resort continues to operate under its iconic Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino name; however, a significant portion of the campus has been rebranded. The former Delano Las Vegas tower (which was previously THEhotel) has been transformed into W Las Vegas as part of a long-term strategic partnership between MGM Resorts and Marriott International. While the primary Mandalay Bay gold-towered casino and hotel remains a staple of the MGM Collection, the W Las Vegas rebranding represents a pivot toward a more nightlife-driven, luxury lifestyle experience within the Marriott Bonvoy ecosystem. Guests at the renamed tower now have access to W-branded amenities while still being connected to the broader Mandalay Bay complex, including the shark reef and wave pool. This change is part of a larger trend on the Strip where established MGM properties are integrating global luxury brands into their existing infrastructure to appeal to a wider range of high-end international travelers and loyalty members.
