What is the new ride at SeaWorld 2024?

Race Through the Ice on Penguin Trek! Reach the end and you'll make the ultimate discovery: a real penguin habitat! This new indoor/outdoor family ride is the most immersive addition to the Coaster Capital of Orlando, and with a height requirement of just 42”, it's the perfect journey for families to share.

The major new attraction that debuted at SeaWorld Orlando in 2024 is Penguin Trek. Officially opened in July 2024, this family-friendly launch coaster is located in the "Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin" section of the park. Manufactured by Bolliger & Mabillard (B&M), the ride is designed to simulate an Antarctic snowmobile expedition. It features two powerful launches and reaches speeds of up to 43 miles per hour as it navigates a series of twists, turns, and "ice" caverns. One of the most unique aspects of Penguin Trek is that the experience begins indoors with immersive themed environments before launching outside onto the track. The ride concludes by bringing guests directly into the park’s real penguin habitat, allowing them to see several species of penguins up close after their "expedition." With a relatively low height requirement of 42 inches, it serves as a "family thrill" attraction that bridges the gap between smaller kiddie rides and the park's more intense hyper-coasters like Mako.
