Fraunces Tavern Frances Tavern is “Manhattan's oldest building” and “New York's oldest restaurant. The construction was done by Stephen DeLancey in 1719. Later on, the property was purchased by Samuel Fraunces. It has the distinction to play an important role in the American Revolution.
