As of late 2024 and through 2026, the service formerly known as "Genie+" has been rebranded at Walt Disney World and Disneyland as Lightning Lane Multi Pass. The "point" of the service remains the same: it is a paid digital add-on that allows guests to bypass the standard "standby" line for the majority of attractions. Instead of waiting 60–90 minutes in a hot outdoor queue, you use the Disney app to book an "arrival window." When your time arrives, you enter through the Lightning Lane, which usually results in a wait of 10 minutes or less. The goal is to maximize your "park time" by spending less of your day standing still and more of it experiencing rides, shows, and dining. It also includes "photo perks," such as digital downloads of attraction photos. For many families, the cost (which fluctuates daily based on demand) is viewed as a "time-is-money" investment, ensuring they can experience all the headliner attractions in a single day without the physical and mental exhaustion of long lines.
