If you want to make the most of your day by avoiding visitor traffic at Disneyland, get up as early as possible. The park opens to the public at 10:00 am. You should keep that time in mind and arrive as early as you can to be among the first through the gates.
After the initial onslaught is absorbed, there is a bit of a lull that lasts until about an hour after opening. Following the lull, the park is inundated with arriving guests for about 2 hours, peaking 10–11 a.m. Guests continue to arrive in a steady but diminishing stream until around 2 p.m.
Guests are allowed to bring outside food and nonalcoholic beverages into the parks for self-consumption, provided they are not in glass containers, do not require heating, reheating, processing or refrigeration and do not have pungent odors. Tuesday and Wednesday are the best days to go with lower crowds. Keep in mind during the less crowded times you often run into shorter park hours, ride closures and less entertainment. But really anytime you go if you have a good touring plan you will have a wonderful time, there is so much to see and do at the parks.
