At Siam Park in Tenerife, the "shark" experience is the grand finale of the "Tower of Power" waterslide. This near-vertical, 28-meter (91-foot) slide sends riders plunging at speeds of up to 80 km/h (50 mph). At the bottom of the drop, the slide transitions into a transparent acrylic tunnel that passes directly through a massive aquarium filled with sandbar sharks and nurse sharks, along with several species of rays. The experience is incredibly fast—most riders only get a split-second glimpse of the sharks as they zoom through the tank. For a slower look, you can visit the "Mai Thai River" (the park's lazy river), which has a separate branch that slowly meanders through the same shark-filled aquarium, allowing for a more relaxed and immersive view of the marine predators. The park takes great pride in the Thai-themed architecture of the tank, making it one of the most photographed and famous water park attractions in the world.
