What is the skypad on Odyssey of the Seas?

The Sky Pad is a Virtual Reality bungee trampoline experience, where guests don VR masks and jump with the aid of bungee cords and harnesses. As they jump, they “see” their progress and remarkable leaps inside their choice of VR world.

The SkyPad on Royal Caribbean's Odyssey of the Seas was originally designed as a high-tech "Bungee Trampoline" experience housed within a massive yellow spherical dome on the ship's aft. Passengers would wear Virtual Reality (VR) headsets while jumping, transporting them to digital worlds. However, in a major operational shift that continues through 2026, Royal Caribbean discontinued the VR and bungee trampoline features across its fleet in 2023. Today, the SkyPad dome remains a permanent architectural landmark on the ship but has been repurposed as a versatile multi-use venue. In 2026, it hosts complimentary activities such as "Silent Discos," morning yoga and stretching sessions, and dance classes under the sun or stars. While the trampolines are gone, the "SkyPad" area still offers one of the best 360-degree viewpoints on the ship, serving as a social hub for guests looking for unique photo opportunities and breezy outdoor relaxation.
