What is the tallest roller coaster in PortAventura?

Red Force is a steel launched roller coaster located at Ferrari Land within PortAventura World in Salou, Catalonia, Spain. The ride was manufactured by Lichtenstein based Swiss manufacturer Intamin and opened on 7 April 2017.

The tallest roller coaster at PortAventura World is Red Force, located in the Ferrari Land section of the resort. Reaching a staggering height of 112 meters (367 feet), it is currently the tallest and fastest roller coaster in Europe. Red Force is an "accelerator" coaster that launches riders from 0 to 180 km/h in just 5 seconds, sending them vertically up a massive "top hat" tower before a vertical drop back down. Within the main PortAventura Park, the tallest coaster is Shambhala: Expedición al Himalaya, which stands at 76 meters (249 feet). Shambhala is a "hypercoaster" designed for "airtime" and features one of the longest drops in the world at 78 meters, plunging into a tunnel. While Red Force is the absolute height champion of the entire resort in 2026, many enthusiasts still prefer Shambhala for its longer ride duration (3 minutes) and smoother, more varied "twister" layout compared to the short, intense burst of the Red Force launch. Both rides require a minimum height of 140 cm and remain the primary draws for thrill-seekers visiting the Costa Dorada.
