What is the Thai version of Uber?

As per reply #1 metered taxis are cheaper and better in Bangkok. Sometimes I resort to tuk-tuks for short rides when taxis are hard to get. Then the best prices that I have been able to negotiate have been about 50% more expensive than a metered taxi for the same trip.
