What is the weight limit at Blizzard Beach?

The Chairlift at Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park is the only attraction at either of the two water parks with a weight limit. The gondolas themselves have a weight limit of 375 pounds. The Chairlift transports Guests to a prime position for: Summit Plummet, Slush Gusher and Teamboat Springs.

At Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park, the vast majority of water slides and attractions do not have a posted weight limit. Disney designs its slides to be highly accommodating for guests of all sizes. The only notable exception is the Chairlift, which has a gondola weight limit of 375 pounds (approx. 170 kg). This chairlift transports guests to the top of Mount Gushmore for access to major slides like Summit Plummet and Slush Gusher. If a guest exceeds this limit, they can simply use the stairs or a separate path to reach the summit. Unlike many smaller, non-Disney water parks, Blizzard Beach does not use publicly placed scales to weigh guests before they enter a slide, prioritizing guest dignity and comfort. For 2026, Disney continues to maintain these standards of accessibility, ensuring that nearly all attractions remain open to a wide range of body types without the need for individual weighing.

Not to be morbid, and this isn't going to happen if you slightly exceed the weight limit, but if you go totally overboard the whole slide could break and you'll all get seriously injured or killed. A heavier group will keep more of their momentum through the turns and therefore more of their speed.
