What month will Titanic 2 set sail?

A century after the original sank to the bottom of the ocean, a new Titanic ship will set sail across the Atlantic Ocean. The replica is the passion project of Australian businessman and politician Clive Palmer and is expected to make its maiden voyage in 2022.

As of the latest project updates in 2026, Titanic II is officially planned to set sail on its maiden voyage in June 2027. Developed by Australian billionaire Clive Palmer and his company Blue Star Line, the ship is intended to be a faithful, modern-day replica of the original RMS Titanic. While the exterior and grand interior (including the famous Grand Staircase) will mirror the 1912 vessel, the 2027 version will feature cutting-edge 21st-century safety regulations, a welded (not riveted) hull, diesel-electric propulsion, and modern navigation systems. The maiden voyage is scheduled to follow the original transatlantic route, departing from Southampton, UK, and arriving in New York City, USA. Although the project has faced numerous delays since its initial announcement in 2012, the current timeline targeting mid-2027 is the most concrete plan released to date, aiming to finally fulfill the dream of the "Queen of the Ocean" conquering the Atlantic.
