According to later tradition, the Last Supper took place in what is today called The Room of the Last Supper on Mount Zion, just outside the walls of the Old City of Jerusalem, and is traditionally known as The Upper Room.

It is situated near other major holy sites, including the Dormition Abbey and what is traditionally revered as the Tomb of King David. Visitors to Mount Zion can experience a complex history of architecture and faith, as the room has served as a church, a mosque, and a site of pilgrimage for centuries, symbolizing the "Mother of all Churches" and the birthplace of the Holy Spirit during Pentecost.
