What qualifies as TDY?

Normal (Business/Regular) Travel TDY: You are considered to be on this type of TDY when traveling for: site visits, conferences and meetings, etc. (not for training). Training TDY: You are considered to be on a training TDY when you are scheduled to attend training for 139 or fewer days (less than 20 weeks).

The Government Travel Charge Card (GTCC) is mandated to be used by DoD personnel to pay for authorized expenses (including meals), when on official travel unless an exemption is granted. This includes temporary duty (TDY) and per component guidance, Permanent Change of Station (PCS) travel.
