What ride did fast and furious replace?

The ride opened on April 23, 2018, replacing Disaster!. The ride features guests joining Dominic Toretto and his crew on buses to protect an important witness from being captured by the FBI and Owen Shaw.

In Universal Orlando, the current Fast & Furious – Supercharged attraction replaced Disaster!: A Major Movie Catastrophe Starring You! (which itself had replaced the classic Earthquake: The Big One). However, in a major 2026 update for fans, Universal has announced that the park's attraction lineup is undergoing a massive "reset." A brand-new, high-intensity spinning coaster named Fast & Furious Hollywood Drift is currently under construction to replace the retiring Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit. This shift addresses long-standing criticism of the Supercharged ride's low-intensity screen-based format. While Supercharged is slated to close permanently by 2027, the new Hollywood Drift coaster represents a major investment in the franchise's theme park presence, utilizing the space of the old Rip Ride Rockit to provide a thrill-focused experience that fans have requested for years, finally giving the "Fast" family a ride that matches the speed of the films.
