What ride is being built next to Space Mountain?

Where is the TRON Roller Coaster? The ride is inside Magic Kingdom, the most popular theme park at Walt Disney World and the world. TRON is located next to Space Mountain, behind Tomorrowland Speedway. If you're looking at Space Mountain from the front, TRON is down a short path to the left.

As of March 2026, there is no major new attraction currently under construction directly adjacent to Space Mountain in Florida's Magic Kingdom, as the massive TRON Lightcycle / Run—which sits right next to it—is now fully operational. However, the Tomorrowland area is seeing significant "refreshment" work. In California's Disneyland, the area surrounding Space Mountain is the subject of intense speculation regarding the Tomorrowland Reimagining project, which aim to update the "dated" futuristic aesthetic. Currently, the most active Disney construction in 2026 is the expansion of Disney Adventure World in Paris (featuring the World of Frozen) and the massive "Beyond Big Thunder" expansion at Magic Kingdom. If you see construction walls near Space Mountain in 2026, they are likely related to the ongoing pavement and lighting upgrades intended to better integrate the classic 1975 coaster with the sleek, high-tech aesthetic of the neighboring TRON plaza.
