Can Genie+ sell out? Yes.It can. Although it isn't common, we've seen it happen a few times during busier times of the year (like over the holidays and Spring Break).
And no matter how many theme parks you visit, you can only purchase two Individual Lightning Lane passes per day. In addition, like standard Genie+ rides, you can't buy passes more than once for the same ride.
All guests, regardless of where they stay, are limited to a maximum of two pay-per-ride attractions per day and can only book a particular ride once per day. What about Annual Passholders? Annual Passholders will need to purchase Genie+ on the day(s) of their visit.
But, keep in mind that at Disney California Adventure Genie+ does not include Lightning Lane access to Radiator Springs Racers. If you wanted to ride this attraction via Lightning Lane, you'd have to pay extra or wait in the Standby lines.
The Genie 120-minute rule says that you can make a new reservation at most 2 hours from when you made the last one, and this countdown timer doesn't change if you modify the reservation. If you made it at, say, 11 a.m., then your two hours will be up at 1 p.m. even if you modify the reservation at noon.
Genie+ lets you “hold” (stack) as many reservations at once as you'd like. No limits! FastPass+ return windows couldn't overlap. If you had a Peter Pan's Flight reservation with an 11:40 am – 12:40 pm return time, none of your other FastPass+ return times could overlap with that hour at all.
Yes! While you can't book more than one Genie+ reservation at once, you can hold multiple Genie+ reservations at a time by utilizing the 120 Minute Rule. This is called Genie+ stacking. You are also able to have both a Genie+ reservation and an Individual Lightning Lane entrance at the same time.
Is Disney Lightning Lane Worth it Conclusion. As a general rule of thumb we do find the Disney World Lightning Lane to be worth it if you can find a way to save 60 minutes per attraction at a cost of under $11.00 per attraction.
You can purchase individual selections for up to 2 different attractions per day upon entering a theme park. Note: Lightning Lane entry for these attractions will only be available to purchase individually and are not included with Disney Genie+ service.
As soon as you use your first reservation you'll be able to make your next. Overall, we think adding Disney Genie+ to your tickets is worth the money. Lightning Lane passes are related to Disney Genie+ but it's a separate expense entirely.
I am happy to report that you can make both a Lightning Lane reservation through Disney Genie+ and try to obtain a Boarding Group through a Virtual Queue at the same time. To do this, I would highly recommend having one person try for the Lightning Lane and one person try for the Virtual Queue.
Genie Plus is definitely worth it for Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios, and if you don't like early starts, you might consider it for Epcot and Animal Kingdom. If you are park hopping, Genie+ is even better value as it maximises the number of rides you have access to.
Disney states that this is being done because the goal from the outset has been to “launch, learn and evolve” after seeing how guests are using this service. To that end, starting June 8, 2022, the Disney Genie+ will only be offered for purchase through the My Disney Experience app on the day of your visit.
If you select a Lightning Lane through the Disney Genie and the return time is more than 2 hours after the current time and after park open, then after 2 hours you can go in and select your next Lightning Lane even though you have not redeemed your first one.
