Most of these rides allow you to safely store items that can fit in your pocket or small fanny pack that can tuck under your shirt. However, all other large items (purses, camera bags, backpacks, etc.)must go inside the ride locker.

Note: If you're going to the amusement park on your own, you may be fine without bringing a bag. Generally, I only ever take my ID, phone, and keys (and payment if I anticipate buying anything). But, if you have more items that you need or would like to bring, then you'll want to take a bag.
Do Not wear material that you can see through when it gets wet. Find a bra where your ladies are not going to fall out when you're on the coasters, or just walking around for that matter.
I recommend not wearing any precious jewelry whilst in the parks and on the rides, because if something accidentally fell off you might be very distressed. Also, I don't recommend any spiked or pointy jewelry, or anything too heavy.

People with high blood pressure and/or heart conditions are warned not to ride roller coasters because of the way they tax the cardiovascular system. The adrenaline rush that roller coasters give you causes a rapid spike in your heart rate and blood pressure.
Opting for a backpack or sling bag ensures that you can be hands-free during your park day, though it can be tempting to overpack since you have so much space. If your bag gets too heavy or cumbersome, keep in mind most theme parks have lockers you can rent to offload some of that gear (or the merch you picked up).
The larger the mass, the larger the momentum, and the more force you need to change it. Mass does not make a roller coaster go faster but it does make it harder to slow down. This is why amusement parks test roller coasters with dummies filled with water.
Wear a fanny pack or use a VERY secure pocket that zips closed. The coasters are intense. A cross body bag would make it very difficult to secure the harnesses on the rides. Plus it would likely fly up and smack you in the face.

I am happy to tell you that you may certainly bring a small backpack or purse with you when experiencing the attractions at the theme parks. I like to use a small backpack-style purse or cross-body bag when I visit the Walt Disney World theme parks.
