The most significant recent acquisition for Disney Cruise Line is the Disney Adventure, formerly known as the Global Dream. In 2026, the Disney Adventure is the center of attention as it prepares for its inaugural season sailing out of Singapore, marking Disney's first permanent homeport in Southeast Asia. This ship is a departure from the traditional "classic" design of the Disney Wish or Disney Treasure, as it is significantly larger, capable of carrying approximately 6,000 passengers. It features dedicated "zones" inspired by Marvel, Disney Princesses, and Pixar. This purchase allowed Disney to expand its fleet rapidly to meet the soaring demand for "Land and Sea" vacations in the Asian market, effectively doubling its capacity in the region and introducing the brand's legendary hospitality to a whole new demographic of international travelers.
