Disney World has a very generous policy regarding outside food, allowing guests to bring almost any snacks into the parks for self-consumption. Popular choices include granola bars, fruit, crackers, sandwiches, and even small coolers of drinks. The primary restrictions are for safety and logistics: you cannot bring glass containers (except for small baby food jars) and you cannot bring alcohol. Additionally, your cooler or bag must be no larger than 24" long x 15" wide x 18" high. A critical rule for 2026 is that loose ice is prohibited; if you want to keep your snacks cold, you must use reusable ice packs or frozen water bottles. You are also not permitted to bring food that requires "processing" or heating (so leave the microwave popcorn and raw meats at home). Bringing your own snacks is one of the most effective ways to save money at Disney, as a family of four can easily spend $50 on a single round of "Mickey Pretzels" and sodas. You can eat your snacks anywhere in the park except for inside table-service restaurants.
