What station is Vancouver Airport?

YVR–Airport is an elevated station on the Canada Line of Metro Vancouver's SkyTrain rapid transit system. The station is located at Vancouver International Airport's main terminal in Richmond, British Columbia, and is one of the outbound termini of the Canada Line, the other being Richmond–Brighouse.

The SkyTrain station serving Vancouver International Airport is officially named YVR–Airport Station. It serves as one of the two western termini of the Canada Line, which is part of Metro Vancouver's rapid transit system. The station is elevated and conveniently located directly between the International and Domestic terminals, accessible via a covered walkway on Level 4. Travelers can reach downtown Vancouver (Waterfront Station) in approximately 25 minutes. A unique aspect of this station is the $5.00 CAD "YVR AddFare" surcharge, which is automatically added to the cost of all single-trip tickets and DayPasses purchased at the airport for trips heading toward the city. However, travel between the three stations on Sea Island (YVR–Airport, Sea Island Centre, and Templeton) is completely free, allowing passengers and airport workers to move between the terminals and the long-term parking lots or the McArthurGlen Designer Outlet without paying a fare. The station is a model of efficient airport-to-city integration, featuring clear multilingual signage and automated kiosks for Compass Card users.
