What status gets you into Delta lounge?

You can access Delta lounges with a paid Delta Sky Club? membership, with Delta elite status or if you're flying in a premium cabin with Delta or an eligible partner airline (in certain situations).

Getting into the Delta Sky Club based purely on "status" has become significantly more difficult in 2026. Merely having Silver or Gold Medallion status does not grant lounge access for domestic flights. To get in via status, you generally need to be a Diamond Medallion member who has selected a Sky Club individual membership as one of their "Choice Benefits." Alternatively, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond Medallion members get access when traveling on a same-day international flight in Delta Premium Select or Delta One. For most other travelers, "status" is less important than the type of credit card they hold; the Amex Platinum Card and the Delta SkyMiles Reserve Card remain the primary keys to the lounge, provided the passenger is flying on a Delta-marketed flight. It is also important to note that as of 2025, Delta has removed lounge access for all passengers traveling on Basic Economy tickets, regardless of their elite status or the credit cards they carry, as part of their ongoing efforts to reduce overcrowding.
