What streets to avoid in downtown Los Angeles?

Homelessness remains a large issue downtown while pickpocketing and robberies are common. Crime isn't as rampant during the day, but caution is still highly advised. The worst areas are located south of 3rd Street, north of 7th Street, west of Alameda Street, and east of Main Street.
