What Terminal is American Airlines at Gatwick?

Gatwick South Terminal The South Terminal handles American Airlines, Continental, Northwest, US Airways and Virgin Atlantic flights and many others.

As of 2026, American Airlines operates exclusively out of the North Terminal at London Gatwick Airport (LGW). This terminal is also home to many of American's partners and other long-haul carriers. Passengers arriving via the Gatwick Express or local trains will arrive at the South Terminal and must take the free, 24-hour automated shuttle to reach the North Terminal, which takes about two to three minutes. American Airlines check-in desks are typically located in Level 2 of the North Terminal. After clearing security, passengers have access to a variety of premium lounges, including the Plaza Premium Lounge and the No1 Lounge, as American does not operate its own Admiral's Club at Gatwick. It is important for travelers to double-check their boarding pass, as Gatwick occasionally shifts airline locations during terminal renovations, but the North Terminal has been the stable home for American's transatlantic services to hubs like New York JFK and Dallas/Fort Worth for several years now.
