What time can you make your first lightning lane?

For individual Lightning Lane purchases, guests of a Disney Resort hotel and other select hotels* may make their first purchase starting at 7:00 am on the day of their visit. All other Guests can make their first purchase during normal park opening hours.



As of early 2026, guests at Walt Disney World can make their first Lightning Lane Multi Pass or Single Pass selections starting at 7:00 AM Eastern Time on their designated booking day. For guests staying at Disney Resort hotels and other select hotels, this window opens 7 days prior to their check-in date for the duration of their stay (up to 14 days). All other guests can begin making their selections 3 days prior to their park visit. This system has replaced the old day-of booking stress, allowing for advance planning. However, once you are inside the park and have "tapped in" for your first scheduled experience, you can immediately use the My Disney Experience app to book your next available Lightning Lane, provided there is inventory remaining.
