However, visiting at night is highly recommended; the temple buildings and the iconic Kaminarimon Gate are beautifully illuminated until 11:00 PM each night. This "after-hours" visit offers a much quieter and more mystical experience compared to the dense daytime crowds. The Nakamise-dori shopping street leading up to the temple usually sees most of its vendors closing between 6:00 PM and 7:00 PM, though some eateries in the surrounding alleys stay open much later into the night.
