Rain is common at Disney, especially in Florida, but it doesn't have to ruin your day; in fact, it can lead to shorter wait times as many guests flee to their hotels. The best strategy is to focus on indoor attractions and shows which remain operational regardless of the weather. At EPCOT, almost every attraction (except Test Track) is indoors and located close together, making it the best "rainy day" park. In Magic Kingdom, you can take cover in Mickey’s PhilharMagic, Pirates of the Caribbean, or the Haunted Mansion. It is also an ideal time for a long, themed meal at a table-service restaurant or browsing the shops on Main Street, U.S.A. Pro-tip: have high-quality ponchos and extra socks ready in your bag, and keep an eye on a radar app; Florida storms are often intense but brief. If there is no lightning, the water parks remain open and are arguably even more fun with zero crowds, as you're going to get wet anyway! Outdoor coasters will only close if there is heavy rain or lightning within a 6-to-10-mile radius.
