What to expect at the Forbidden Forest?

You will meet some of your favourite Harry Potter characters. As well as walking through a colourful forest, you can also expect to find some of your favourite magical creatures and characters in the Forbidden Forest too! You'll meet your friendly groundskeeper Hagrid along with his trusty dog Fang.

To me it was a very magical place, just like the movie. An awesome imagination experience. I felt like I was in the actual Forbidden Forest. I definitely love everything about it, the food, can't start a walk without a butterbeer, it is always a must.

How long is the experience? Your adventure will likely last 60-90 mins. However, there is lots to see and do at your own pace, so make sure you save some extra time to make the most of everything on offer!

What is the minimum age? There is no minimum however, given it is a lit trail at night, containing magical creatures from the film series, some younger Guests might find elements a little bit spooky. We recommend that all children under the age of 12 years old be accompanied by an adult.

The pathways were muddy and wellies required, I can see at some point in the future Arley would have to rework the pathways on a regular basis. The lights were ok if that is your sort of thing but at the end of the day they just lit up the trees.

A statue of Harry Potter's stag Patronus stands guard at the entrance, where visitors will find a village of concessions featuring the Fat Fryer offering fish and chips, Dragon Fire Roasters, Bowtruckle Bar or Charming Concoctions, but there is also butterbeer and sweets, too.
