Wild Eagle, located at Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, is a steel Wing Coaster manufactured by the renowned Swiss firm Bolliger & Mabillard (B&M). It holds the distinction of being the first wing coaster to open in the United States, having debuted in 2012. The defining characteristic of this coaster type is its seating arrangement: riders are seated in pairs on either side of the track, with nothing but air above and below them. This design is intended to mimic the feeling of soaring like a bird—specifically a bald eagle—over the Smoky Mountains. The ride features a massive 210-foot (64 m) lift hill and reaches a top speed of 61 mph (98 km/h). During the 2-minute and 22-second experience, riders go through four inversions, including a massive 110-foot vertical loop and a zero-gravity roll, all while perched on the "wings" of the train, which creates a sense of vulnerability and freedom that standard seated coasters cannot match.
