What water slide is taller than the Statue of Liberty?

Photo: Verruckt is the highest water slide in the world with being taller than the Statue of Liberty and Niagara Falls, but warning, have caution though because a kid died on it.

The Verrückt water slide at Schlitterbahn Waterpark in Kansas City was famously taller than the Statue of Liberty (from base to torch) and Niagara Falls, standing at a staggering 168 feet and 7 inches. For comparison, the Statue of Liberty is roughly 151 feet from the top of the pedestal to the torch. However, it is important to note that Verrückt is permanently closed and has been demolished following a tragic accident in 2016. As of 2026, the tallest operating water slides in the world, such as Kilimanjaro in Brazil (164 feet), come incredibly close to that height but generally fall just short of the 168-foot record, remaining the most extreme vertical drops available to the public today.
