What will be the tallest roller coaster in 2024?

Cedar Point in Ohio will in 2024 debut "Top Thrill 2," a strata roller coaster that not only will be the world's tallest, but also the world's "fastest triple-launch strata roller coaster," a press release said.

While Kingda Ka at Six Flags Great Adventure held the record for years at 456 feet, the title for 2024 and beyond has been a race of engineering. The most significant move was the construction of Falcon’s Flight at Six Flags Qiddiya in Saudi Arabia, which is designed to reach an incredible height of 535 feet (163 meters), making it the world's first "Exa Coaster." Additionally, 2024 saw the highly anticipated opening of Top Thrill 2 at Cedar Point, a reimagining of Top Thrill Dragster that features a new 420-foot vertical spike. However, Falcon's Flight stands as the undisputed champion of sheer height, utilizing a massive cliffside drop to achieve its record-breaking stature and speeds exceeding 155 mph.
