As of November 12, 2025, and continuing into 2026, Ryanair has moved to 100% Digital Boarding Passes via their mobile app. This means they have officially "phased out" the requirement (and even the option in many cases) to print a paper ticket. You should check in via the Ryanair app or website between 24 hours and 2 hours before your flight (or up to 60 days in advance if you purchased a seat). Once checked in, your boarding pass will be stored in the app and can be used offline. If you still want a physical copy, you can technically print it from the website after checking in, but the airline is actively discouraging this to save 300 tonnes of paper annually. It is a peer-to-peer "pro-tip" to ensure your phone is fully charged; however, if your phone dies at the airport, Ryanair staff can now print a pass for free at the desk if you have already checked in online. If you fail to check in online at all, you will still be charged a heavy "Airport Check-in Fee."
