When was the Sentosa built?

1970s–1980s: Development and early years It commenced operations on 1 September 1972, taking over the responsibility of developing the island from the Jurong Town Corporation. Much of the planning for Sentosa was undertaken by Alan Choe, who later became chairman of the SDC.
