When you earn Marriott status How long does it last?

Marriott's elite status is usually valid during the year in which you've earned it and the year afterward (though that has changed due to COVID-19 related status extensions). Generally though, if you earn Platinum status in June 2023, you'll have it for the remainder of 2023 and throughout all of 2024.

In the Marriott Bonvoy program, once you earn Elite status (Silver, Gold, Platinum, Titanium, or Ambassador), that status is valid for the remainder of the calendar year in which it was earned, the entirety of the following calendar year, and through the end of February of the year after that. For example, if you achieve Platinum Elite status in August 2025, you will enjoy those benefits for the rest of 2025, all of 2026, and until February 28, 2027. This grace period allows members to continue enjoying their perks while they work to requalify for the next cycle. In 2026, Marriott continues its "soft landing" policy: if you fail to requalify for your current tier in 2025, you will only be downgraded by one level rather than losing status entirely. This means a 2025 Titanium member who stays zero nights would still hold Platinum status throughout 2026 and until late February 2027.
