Where can I find PNR number on ticket?

To locate your PNR Number on the ticket, look at the upper left-hand corner of your ticket. You will see PNR No column and your unique 10-digit PNR Number below it which can be used to check a lot of things about your journey and ticket.

The PNR (Passenger Name Record) number is typically found in several places on your ticket or itinerary, depending on whether you have a paper ticket, an e-ticket, or an email confirmation.

Here are the most common places to look:

1. On Your E-Ticket Itinerary / Email Confirmation

This is the most common place. After booking (from an airline, travel agency, or online portal like MakeMyTrip, Expedia, etc.), you receive a confirmation email. Look for: A section titled “Itinerary,” “Booking Details,” or “E-Ticket Receipt.” Labeled as: PNR, Booking Reference, Record Locator, Reservation Code, or Booking Code. Format: Usually a 6-character alphanumeric code (e.g., ABC123). For Indian Railways (IRCTC), it’s a 10-digit numeric code.

2. On Your Physical / Paper Ticket

While less common now, if you have a paper ticket: The PNR is usually printed in the top section or near the passenger name and flight details. It will be clearly labeled as PNR or Record Locator.

3. On Your Airline’s Mobile App or Website

Once logged into your account on the airline’s app or website: Go to “My Trips,” “Manage Booking,” or “Bookings.” Your upcoming trip will be listed with the PNR/Record Locator prominently displayed.
