If you're comfortable driving into London, you can park for free on Saturday and Sunday at Westminster, on Storey's Gate and surrounding roads. Stanmore tube station is five minutes from junction 4 of the M1. It has a large car park costing £5.20 per day and although it gets busy I would be surprised it was full. From there the Jubilee line will get you to Westminster in about 35-40 minutes with departures every few minutes.
