Where can you park for free in Ocean City New Jersey?

All municipal lots and street parking are free in the off-season between Oct. 31 and May 1. Parking meters and fees for surface lots are in effect for the other six months. Surface lots are available throughout the city and serve the beach and boardwalk area, the downtown retail district and other spots in town.

Free parking is available in the Sandridge and North Marsac lots adjacent to Marsac Avenue with 24-hour limits and overnight restrictions (see entrance signs). Please note that parking in these lots will be restricted during the Sundance Film Festival and Arts Festival.

In fact, you can enter EPCOT with a valid park admission through the International Gateway (World Showcase) entrance near the BoardWalk. It's only about a 10-minute walk between the BoardWalk and the EPCOT side entrance, about a half mile in length.

Alcohol prohibition As a result of its religious origins, the sale or public drinking of alcoholic beverages in Ocean City was prohibited. In 1881, the Ocean City Association passed a set of blue laws, which were designed to enforce religious standards. The town banned the manufacturing or sale of alcohol in 1909.

Lifeguards will be on duty beginning Memorial Day Weekend to mid September. During the season, lifeguards will be on duty from 10 am to 5:30 pm weekends and holidays and from 10 am to 5 pm on weekdays. For a list of guarded beaches, check their website www.ocnj.us/ocbp.
