Your basic salary is calculated from the day you join. This includes the training period. If you are eligible for company accommodation, we will provide this when you arrive in Dubai. And if you have opted to receive company accommodation, payment will be calculated from your first day of work.

How long is the contract and is it binding? In accordance with current Dubai Government regulations, the contract is a three-year non-binding one, renewable with agreement by Emirates management and crew member. There is a probationary period of six months commencing from the date of joining.

Crew require a minimum of three hours rest when the flight duty period exceeds 14 hours (from when crew 'sign on' to 15 minutes after engines off). For flight duty periods longer than 18 hours, 4.5 hours bunk rest is required. The crew take turns for rest breaks. The first group will rest after the first meal service.
