On most rides you can either place the backpack on the ride car floor, behind and between your legs, and you will be just fine.
Loungefly or other Small BagsLoungefly bags and bags of a similar style are the perfect sizes for an entire park day, especially in summer. These bags can fit a rain jacket, small umbrella, wallet, phone, portable charger, and more. This is my go-to bag because it can hold many items and is lightweight.

Every resort on Disney property has Bell Services (also sometimes called Luggage Services). This is where grocery items that you might have ordered from places like Amazon Prime Now or Instacart are delivered, but it is also where you can store your bags and carry-on items on your arrival and departure days.
If you arrive before your room is ready, you may check your bags with Bell Services so you can begin your vacation right away. Your bags can be delivered to your room for your convenience later in the day.
Wear a fanny pack or use a VERY secure pocket that zips closed. The coasters are intense. A cross body bag would make it very difficult to secure the harnesses on the rides. Plus it would likely fly up and smack you in the face.
Opting for a backpack or sling bag ensures that you can be hands-free during your park day, though it can be tempting to overpack since you have so much space. If your bag gets too heavy or cumbersome, keep in mind most theme parks have lockers you can rent to offload some of that gear (or the merch you picked up).
Many of the Loungefly backpacks and bags are of a similar shape, but plenty have unique designs to fit the character they are designed after. This is much more expensive for a company to produce as they'll need to create new patterns for each release.
Clear bags are not required. You are welcome to bring a purse, backpack, or another type of bag as long as it is no larger than 24 long x 15 wide x 18 high. The Disney resorts all have Bell Services desks that can hold your luggage for you on both your arrival and departure days, as needed. On your arrival day it is a great service, because if your room is not yet ready, you can just drop your bags off and head to the parks.

Frees up your arms: Since fanny packs are secured around your waist, your arms will be free to do other things. No need to remove it: Just sling your fanny pack to the side or your backside when taking a photo or entering an attraction. Disney allows guests to wear fanny packs during rides.
Once you check out of your Disney Resorts Collection hotel, you can leave your luggage at Bell Service while you enjoy your final day at the theme parks. You can either call Bell Services from your room to have your bags picked up to be stored or bring them yourself to Bell Services for storage.
Currently, backpacks with or without wheels must be no larger than 24 long, 15 wide, and 18 high to be allowed into the theme parks. So good news! If your backpack fits within that size category, you are absolutely able to bring it into the parks with you.
You will also be doing a lot of walking at the parks and it is important to stay hydrated. Non-alcoholic drinks and waters are totally something you can bring into Disney, it's even encouraged!
You can absolutely bring a water bottle with you into the Walt Disney World theme parks, including Magic Kingdom. The water bottle cannot be glass, but others are absolutely fine.
