Where do you leave your backpack in Disney?

Keep your bag in a dedicated pouch located inside your ride vehicle. Many attractions with jostling or rapid movements incorporate a mesh pouch inside the vehicle into which you may place your bags. Some pouches may be smaller than your bag.

At both Walt Disney World and Disneyland, the most common place to leave your backpack is in a locker rental, which are available near the main entrances of every theme park. These lockers come in various sizes (Small, Large, and Jumbo) and cost between $10 and $15 per day for unlimited access. However, for most attractions, Disney actually allows you to bring your backpack on the ride with you. On "gentle" rides, you can simply keep it at your feet; on thrill rides like Space Mountain or Rock 'n' Roller Coaster, there are usually small mesh pouches in front of your seat to secure your bag, or you can place it on the floor between your legs. The only major exception at Disney World is TRON Lightcycle / Run, which requires you to use complimentary double-sided lockers located at the ride entrance. If you have a massive backpack that won't fit on rides, the main park lockers are your best and most secure "home base" for the day.

When visiting Disney parks, it’s important to keep your belongings secure and accessible. Here are some common options for managing your backpack:

  1. Carry It With You: Most attractions allow you to bring your backpack on rides. Many rides have storage compartments or areas where you can place your bag during the experience.

  2. Use a Locker: Disney parks offer locker rentals in various locations, such as near the park entrances or in specific areas like Tomorrowland or Adventureland. Lockers are available in different sizes and can be rented for the day.

  3. Stroller or Wheelchair Storage: If you’re pushing a stroller or using a wheelchair, you can attach your backpack to it for convenience.

  4. Dining or Rest Areas: When dining or taking a break, keep your backpack with you at your table or seating area.

  5. Leave It at Your Hotel: If you’re staying at a Disney resort, you can leave your backpack in your room and travel lighter during the day.

Always keep valuables like wallets, phones, and tickets on your person or in a secure bag. If you’re unsure about a specific attraction’s policies, ask a Cast Member for guidance.
