You + Two Bags = No Extra ChargeWhen you travel with us, you can carry-on two free pieces of luggage. Each item should not exceed 50 lbs. (23 kg) and needs to be 28 x 22 x 14 inches in size.
Labelling your bags is mandatory on all Eurostar and French trains, so you should affix a label that includes the passenger's full name. Paper labels can normally be found at large stations (e.g. Eurostar terminals) but we recommend purchasing something more sturdy that will last more than one trip.
Can I take food on board? Absolutely. You can bring your own food on European and London routes. And unlike in the sky, we won't restrict you with stifling rules on liquids.
Our coaches are equipped with several areas for stowing luggage, including: Luggage racks above your seat. Free space on the floor between certain seats arranged back to back. Special luggage racks at the end of each coach for bigger items.
We have UK and European power sockets available at every seat on our trains. We also have USB sockets available in Business Premier and Standard Premier. Click here to find out more about the Eurostar app.
When does Eurostar check-in open? Check-in for Eurostar journeys opens an hour and 15 minutes before departure. We recommend that you arrive at least 90 minutes prior to your train leaving so you can have a stress-free check-in.
There are luggage racks at the ends of each car for large luggage pieces, and smaller hand luggage and backpacker packs easily fit in the overhead racks above the seating. As the overhead luggage racks are the easier option, don't underestimate the weight of your luggage.
When departing from a station with trainside checked baggage service, you'll need to tag your luggage with a baggage tag for your destination city and walk your luggage to the baggage car.
Put your bags where you can see them from your seat, ideally on the racks directly above your head or on floor-standing racks inside the seating area close to your seat. Overhead racks usually take bags up to the size of backpacks or medium suitcases.
Each passenger may bring onboard two pieces of carry-on luggage (this includes bicycles), plus two personal items, including small bags, backpacks, laptops, and purses. Please speak to the conductor if you have questions about any other items.
