The Ark Encounter opens at 9:00 am and closes between 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm, depending on the season. As you enter the Ark, you can feel the presence of the Holy Spirit, or at least, I did. Much walking and you walk on ramps or they do have elevators. The Ark itself is 510 ft long, 85 ft wide, and 51 ft high. You go on a self-guided tour, so you can go at your own pace.

Went on a family trip to the Ark, our group includes kids as young as 4 and old as 16. The Ark itself is impressive in its size and it is beautiful with accurate information throughout. I would recommend everyone go at least once but not with younger kids. There is a lot of long slow moving lines and lots of reading.
