Where does Emirates training take place?

New recruits undergo an intense seven and a half weeks of training in the highest standards of safety and service delivery in our state-of-the-art facility in Dubai. The training covers both theoretical and practical aspects, with the latter taking place in full motion simulators of all of the aircrafts in our fleet.



Emirates conducts the majority of its specialized training in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Cabin crew members undergo an intensive eight-week program at the Emirates Aviation College, which features state-of-the-art motion simulators that replicate aircraft cabins for emergency and service drills. For aspiring pilots, the Emirates Flight Training Academy (EFTA) is located at Dubai South, near Dubai World Central (DWC) airport. This world-class facility covers over 160,000 square meters and includes its own private 1,800-meter runway, a fleet of Cirrus SR22 and Embraer Phenom 100EV aircraft, and high-tech simulators. The academy is designed to provide a holistic environment where cadets live and train in a campus setting specifically tailored for the next generation of airline pilots.
