The Magic Kingdom Monorail system consists of two distinct loops. The "Express Monorail" runs in a clockwise loop and travels directly between the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC) and the Magic Kingdom park entrance, bypassing the resorts to move large crowds quickly. The "Resort Monorail" runs in a counter-clockwise loop and makes five specific stops: the Magic Kingdom, Disney's Contemporary Resort, the Transportation and Ticket Center, Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, and Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. If you are at the TTC, you can also transfer to a separate Monorail line that takes you to EPCOT. This "highway in the sky" is more than just transportation; it provides iconic views of the Seven Seas Lagoon and even travels directly through the center of the Contemporary Resort's A-frame tower. It is a free service, meaning you do not need a park ticket to ride it, making it a popular activity for "resort hopping" and dining.
