Where does Sirmione ferry go from?

The Sirmione ferry terminal is located on the western side of the old town. Ferries arrive from Lazise and from Desenzano del Garda. Desenzano is the 'end stop' for ferries at the southern end of the lake so visitors travelling from Sirmione to Desenzano can only do a return trip.

Even in the south, a few miles down the peninsula from Sirmione is Pescheria del Garda - known for its remarkable citadel extant from around Napoleonic times - which many massive bulwarks. Sirmione is definitely a tourist trap that's worth a quick detour but not an overnight stop.
