Where is Moana in EPCOT?

Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana is scheduled to open October 16, 2023 within World Nature—the EPCOT neighborhood dedicated to understanding and preserving the beauty and balance of the natural world.

Excellent question! Moana can be found in EPCOT’s World Nature section, specifically in the Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana attraction.

This is not a traditional ride or character meet-and-greet, but a beautiful, interactive walk-through experience. Here are the details:

Location: Land: World Nature (the same area as The Land and The Seas with Nemo & Friends pavilions). Nearest Icon: It’s located on the walkway between The Land pavilion and the bridge to World Showcase, right next to the Creations Shop and across from the Mission: SPACE pavilion.

What to Expect: A Self-Guided Exploration: You follow a winding path through a lush, tropical environment. Interactive Water Features: The entire experience is about the cycle of water. You can play with water that “magically” responds to your movements—making it spring from the ground, creating waves, or playing musical notes. Moana’s Presence: While Moana herself is not a live character you can meet here (for that, you typically need to go to the Magic Kingdom or Disney’s Animal Kingdom), her spirit and story guide the journey. You’ll see: Carvings and Art: Story panels and rock carvings that tell Moana’s story and the lessons she learned about nature. Music: The beloved soundtrack from the film plays throughout. Te Fiti: A beautiful, serene representation of the goddess Te Fiti is at the heart of the journey. Character Appearances: On rare occasions
