Where is Terminal 1 arrivals at Manchester Airport?

Terminal 1 is the largest terminal so you will find the main visitor facilities such as Tourist Information and hotel booking service here. The Arrivals hall is on the lower level, with lift and escalator access to the Skylink walkway and the Station transport interchange for onward travel.

Muchly appreciated. Easily walkable. If you don't feel like walking, take the free airport transit train. But the terminals are adjacent to each other, so unless you have lots of luggage or mobility issues, shouldn't be a problem.

Terminal 1 It is the second largest terminal at the airport. It was opened in 1962, by Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, and it is a base for easyJet. Terminal 1 is spread over an area of 110,000 m2 (1,200,000 sq ft). The terminal has two piers which combined have 29 stands, of which 15 have air bridges.

The process for picking-up passengers remains the same – passengers can be picked-up in the arrivals car parks and multi-storey car parks with a charge of £6 for 30 minutes. We will have staff on hand to direct those dropping-off and picking-up to the right places.

Make your way to the reception to check your car in and hand over your keys. Your car will be parked while you head to the terminal. The car park is a 5-minute walk from T3. Or for Terminals 1 and 2, you'll need to catch the included shuttle bus.

Visitors can use the moving walkway along the Skylink to easily travel between terminals 1 to 2 in around 15 minutes. To travel between 1 and 3 there is a walkway which takes 5 minutes. To travel from 3 to 2, simply make your way to Terminal 1 and then onwards.

Upon completion in 2025, around 80% of all passengers will use the expanded Terminal 2. Terminal 1 will close, although as it will be 63 years old by that point, it is probably about time.

You will need to reclear TSA security once you arrive in your departure terminal. For international arriving passengers, you must claim all checked bags at Customs and recheck with your departing airline, even if the bags are checked to your final destination!
