Where is the drop off point for Terminal 2 Heathrow?

If you plan to drop somebody off at Heathrow Airport Terminal 2, 3, 4 or 5, this is done on the lanes outside the terminals. You can unload on the forecourts, but waiting is not permitted. The forecourts are patrolled by the Police as well as airport staff, so you will be asked to move if you are seen to be waiting.

The passenger drop-off point for Heathrow Terminal 2 (The Queen's Terminal) is located directly on the Terminal 2 forecourt, which is accessible via the ramp off Constellation Way. When driving toward the airport, follow the clear overhead signage for "Terminal 2" and then for "Departures" or "Drop-off." It is essential to note that Heathrow implements a Terminal Drop-Off Charge (currently £7 as of 2026), which applies to every vehicle entering the forecourt zones. This fee cannot be paid at a physical booth or barrier; it must be paid online, via the official app, or by phone either in advance or by midnight the following day to avoid a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN). If you wish to avoid this charge, you can utilize the "Long Stay" car parks, which offer a free shuttle bus transfer to the terminal. For those being dropped off by a taxi or rideshare, the fee is typically added to the final fare. Drivers should remain with their vehicles at all times, as unattended cars in the forecourt are subject to immediate towing for security reasons.
