Bois d'Arc Lake in Fannin County is nearing completion. Fannin County is located in northeast Texas on the state's border with Oklahoma. It is roughly an hour and a half drive from Dallas. The name of the lake comes from the native Bois d'Arc tree, also known as the Osage Orange tree.
