Key Rules & Tips for LAX Drop-Off:

1. Know the terminal — Ask your passenger which airline they’re flying, then check the terminal (see below).
2. Use the Upper/Departures Level — This is the standard for drop-offs at all terminals.
   - Follow signs for Departures.
   - Curbside drop-off is allowed only for active loading/unloading — do not leave your vehicle unattended.
3. Avoid the Lower/Arrivals Level — That level is primarily for pick-ups. Police may cite you if you drop off there.
4. Consider the horseshoe — LAX terminals 1–8 are arranged in a U-shaped loop (often called the “horseshoe”). Traffic can be heavy, especially during peak times (mornings, evenings, holidays).
