In its historic 2024 inaugural season, the Sun Princess—the first of the Sphere-class ships for Princess Cruises—primarily sailed from Barcelona, Spain, Rome (Civitavecchia), Italy, and Athens (Piraeus), Greece. During the spring and summer of 2024, it operated a variety of 7-day to 21-day Mediterranean itineraries, visiting popular ports such as Mallorca, Santorini, Sicily, and Kusadasi. Following its successful Mediterranean debut, the ship transitioned across the Atlantic to begin its winter season in the Caribbean. Starting in late 2024, the Sun Princess homeported in Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida, offering 7-day Western and Eastern Caribbean voyages. This deployment allowed North American travelers to experience the ship's groundbreaking features, such as "The Dome" and its massive glass-enclosed "Piazza," without traveling to Europe. By 2026, the Sun Princess has established a regular seasonal rotation between the Mediterranean and the Caribbean, remaining one of the most sought-after vessels in the Princess fleet.
